Redfield Rampage Spotting Scope 20-60x80 Review

The Redfield Rampage is a great spotting scope to have handing when out hunting or target shooting.  Recently we went to the range to sight in my husbands 300 Win Mag at 100 yards.  It took us a little bit to do since he was taking it down from 900 yards.  Once we got everything dialed we started to zero in his scope.  We took two spotting scopes with us, the department store special and the Redfield Rampage.

The department store special spotting scope he had for a few years.  They are great with it comes to cost, but that is pretty much it.  The scope was a 20-60x80, the image through the scope was very difficult to see and very blurry.  Don't get me wrong, some department store specials are great and are just as good as some top quality products.

The Redfield Rampage is a great spotting scope.  During the day the scope was very clear, you could see the image as if you were a few feet away.  It made it really easy to see where the shot went and zero in his rifle.  As the day passed and shadows made the image darker, there was no change to the image in the scope.  The scope allowed a ton of light to funnel through so everything was bright.

The Rampage came with a carrying case, tripod and lens covers, very similar to the one we got from the department store.  One additional item that we got was a scope cover.  The cover protects the scope while it is on the tripod.  So in different weather conditions the scope will be protected.

I would highly recommend the Rampage spotting scope.  If the 20-60x80 is too bit for you, it does come in 20-60x60.
